In a search for the latest and greatest in dairy alternatives, I was sucked in by the cute barista-style packaging and amazing flavors of Califia Farms AlmondMilk Creamer. It comes in four staple flavors (Original, Vanilla, Hazelnut and Caramel Pecan) and a bunch of holiday flavors.
Their staple flavors have persisted since the product launched, around 2015, but their formula has since changed. They initially used carrageenan, but removed it and added coconut cream for richness. They also added smaller refrigerated bottles for each flavor. Read our allergen notes below – the bottles might be important to you!
Califia Farms AlmondMilk Creamer Comes in Ten Creamy Flavors
There are so many flavors of Califia Farms AlmondMilk Creamer to choose from, particularly during the holidays. I’ve included our tasting notes below for the ones that we’ve tried, but we’ve just scratched the surface. Be sure to leave your own unbiased rating and review below if you buy and try any (or all!) of these varieties.
Unsweetened
Ingredients: almondmilk (water, almonds), coconut cream, sunflower lecithin, natural flavors, calcium carbonate, sea salt, potassium citrate, locust bean gum, gellan gum. contains: almonds, coconut.

Vanilla
Wow! This tastes insanely sweet and scrumptious on its own, almost like almond-vanilla ice cream. In fact, I think you could pour this stuff straight into your ice cream maker for a one-ingredient frozen dessert. Tony thought this Califia Fams AlmondMilk Creamer melded very well into coffee; he likened it to Coffeemate in its effect and seamlessness, but said it was definitely better tasting. He usually adds sugar to his coffee, but said none was necessary with this sweet addition.

Hazelnut

Pecan Caramel
As a lover of pecan pralines, I found the rich flavor of this creamer to be glorious. Tony agreed that it was mighty tasty. We think it could be churned into a sweet ice cream, no other additions required. The color is a little more tan than the Original, so I wouldn’t expect a strong whitening effect, particularly if you don’t like your coffee or tea too sweet.

Pumpkin Spice (seasonal)
Ingredients: almondmilk (water, almonds), cane sugar, coconut cream, pumpkin puree, sunflower lecithin, natural flavors, calcium carbonate, cinnamon, sea salt, ginger, potassium citrate, locust bean gum, nutmeg, gellan gum. contains: almonds, coconut.

Rich and very creamy

With a taste like liquid ice cream, it’s hard not to love these insanely sweet flavors. Just a few splashes adds dairy-free, soy-free indulgence to any cup of joe or tea. Plus, they disperse seamlessly for a full-bodied experience. That said, if you like a rich and very creamy effect, it’s difficult to use enough without creating a straight up dessert beverage.
