We procured each soft serve mix flavor and a Zoku bowl for my house, and one set for Sarah’s house, because I was so intrigued. It’s a pourable, creamy blend that is made with oat milk and ready to churn in either your ice cream maker, or single-serve bowl!
I’ve truly enjoyed making Elmhurst Soft Serve Ice Cream Mix in the Zoku bowl. The mix is shelf-stable until you open it, but best refrigerated in advance. I store it in the refrigerator and just pour a little into the frozen bowl on nights when I am indulging in some TV time. Just a few minutes of stirring, and it becomes a thick bowl of dairy-free ice cream!

Elmhurst Soft Serve Ice Cream Mix makes a lighter frozen dessert. It isn’t icy, but cool and just lightly rich. The Vanilla “tastes like the milk in your bowl after you’ve finished your cereal.” That’s how our resident teenager described it, and I think she was spot on.
I would have taken a picture, but it doesn’t look very appealing when made in a Zoku bowl. The mix becomes clumpy as you stir, and eventually smooths out once quite thick. By that time, your Zoku bowl is a frantic mess of dairy-free soft serve ice cream. Not pretty, but definitely a sweet frozen treat.
