If you’ve ever wasted 15 minutes at the grocery store reading every Pasta Roni label, then you know it’s an exercise in dairy-free futility. Or at least it was. They’ve finally released a new flavor that’s made without any milk or soy ingredients, and it’s available in both their rice and pasta line. Yes, it’s Buffalo Chicken and it really is made without butter, milk, or cream!
Pasta Roni and Rice-a-Roni get Saucy with Dairy-Free Buffalo Chicken
Since this is the only current Pasta Roni flavor without milk, I’ve included their pasta and rice dishes together in this post. They have several other Rice-a-Roni options, which I’ve also listed here.
Please note that the directions on Rice-a-Roni and Pasta Roni call for “butter or margarine” and milk. You will need to use dairy-free butter spread, sticks, or margarine and dairy-free milk beverage to keep this dairy-free. We think lite canned coconut milk would also be delicious in place of the milk in the Buffalo Chicken!
