Updated in 2021! Pressed, the chain formerly known as Pressed Juicery, now has a sleeker name and an even bigger dairy-free menu. They’ve added more sweet fruity juices, a whole line of bottled smoothies, three dragon fruit smoothie bowls, and two flavors of Freeze soft serve: acai and dragon fruit. Freeze still comes in chocolate and vanilla flavors that are made with their pure almond milk, but the new fruit-forward flavors have an oat milk base.

Pressed Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free & Vegan Menu Guide

When I first visited a Pressed Juicery on Oahu, they were mostly dairy-free. All of their juices and milks were made without milk, and their Freeze soft serve was purely plant-based. But they had a few toppings with dairy. Since then, they’ve gone dairy-free with their entire menu (except for some of the packaged items). In fact, all of the following items are reportedly dairy-free and gluten-free. They’re also soy-free and vegan, unless otherwise noted. But nut-free consumers should take note that almonds are used in many of their bowls, toppings, and frozen desserts.

Other Snacks

Heads Up! Pressed Juicery usually has packaged snacks available. They’re typically dairy-free, but we have spotted a couple packaged items, that were made with dairy. Even though their menu is dairy-free, make sure you read the labels on their store items!

Pressed Juicery Frozen Ice Cream Pints & Minis (with ingredients)

  • Coconut Vanilla (coconut milk (water, coconut cream, coconut oil), almond milk (water, almonds), maple syrup, tapioca, vanilla extract, xanthan gum, salt)
  • Chocolate (coconut milk (water, coconut cream, coconut oil), almond milk (water, almonds), maple syrup, alkalized cocoa powder, xanthan gum, salt)
  • Strawberry (coconut milk (water, coconut cream, coconut oil), strawberry puree, almond milk (water, almonds), maple syrup, tapioca, vanilla extract, xanthan gum, salt)
  • Matcha (coconut milk (water, coconut cream, coconut oil), almond milk (water, almonds), maple syrup, tapioca, matcha, vanilla extract, xanthan gum, salt)

Availability: As you can see, these have slightly different ingredients from Freeze, and are sold packed in pints and single-serve minis to go. They are planning to sell Frozen in stores, but for now, it’s available at limited Pressed Juicery locations, primarily in Southern California.

Where to Find Pressed (formerly Pressed Juicery)

I’m pretty sure this juice shop started in Southern California, because that’s where they have the highest concentration of shops. But they also have a smattering of locations elsewhere, including Northern California, Washington, Nevada, Texas, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Texas. See their website below for addresses, hours, and to order online. They ship throughout the U.S. (yes, even the freezes!).

Healthy Indulgence

August 17, 2019

I LOVE treating myself to this “freeze” when I’m craving something sweet, since it’s made from real food and natural sweeteners. I reason that if I could justify a smoothie, I can get a swirl with some toppings, because this is really the same but colder. I’m just bummed that they discontinued the matcha flavor… But you can’t go wrong with the classics. Ask nicely and they’ll combine more than one flavor for you in a cup, and don’t forget to ask for samples along the way.

Response from Go Dairy Free

You’re right – I forgot about the Matcha! I saw that one in store, but it is gone on their website. Bummer. Thanks for leaving a review for this restaurant Hannah!
