The Dairy-Free Gift Guide with Unique Ideas for Adults and Kids

Can you ever have too many gift ideas? I don’t think so. It’s so much fun to see what people recommend. And this year, I have a new, exclusively dairy-free gift guide for you! It includes a range of ideas that hit top trends, take advantage of this hobby-heavy year, and some of my personal favorites that I think make life just a little more enjoyable.
The Dairy-Free Gift Guide with Unique Ideas for Adults and Kids
From easy solutions to pretty new things and a little pampering, we have everyone’s sanity covered this year with this collection of dairy-free gift ideas for adults, followed by several ideas to keep kids happy and busy!
Lindsay Letters Cinderella’s Pumpkin Abstract
I’ve been an admirer of Lindsay’s work for years. Her newest fall collection included this teal pumpkin abstract. Of course it makes me think of the Teal Pumpkin Project. I think this is a perfect print for an allergy family–especially one with a Cinderella fan.
Vegan Wines Subscription Box
Did you know many wine makers use milk in production? Some milk protein can even remain in the finished product. But this subscription box company intimately vets each bottle to ensure it is free of all animal ingredients, at all stages of process. Each box is carefully packaged with six quality dairy-free and vegan wines, plus tasting notes and vegan recipes for pairing. They’ll also receive access to a private online portal for members only.
Matcha Tea Set
In an effort to save money, and since visiting the coffee shop isn’t always feasible, I asked for this matcha tea set for my birthday. It comes in several colors, but I was partial to the “Shimmering Blue.” My tea isn’t as good as the barista’s yet, but I’m enjoying working on it with this cute collection. Pair it with Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder, an amazing honey, and a classic milk beverage to get them started (my favorite in matcha is coconut milk beverage).
Stonewall Kitchen On-the-Go Grill Set
This portable grilling set is small enough to use on apartment balconies, can travel to the parks or beach, and is great for ensuring a safe grill that is free of cross-contamination when away from home. The set also includes some of Stonewall Kitchen’s most popular grilling sauces, condiments, and rubs, which are all dairy free!
Instant Pot Allergy Set
I am an Instant Pot convert and think they’re a great gift. You can bundle one with An Allergy Mom’s Lifesaving Instant Pot Cookbook. Here recipes are free of the top 8 allergens, easy, delicious, and perfect for families. If you don’t believe me, just try her Instant Pot Italian Meatballs Recipe!
Instant Pot Ace Plus Blender
The Instant Pot is for everyone, but it really feels like they made the Ace Blender with dairy-free consumers in mind. It purees and cooks, making it perfect for dairy-free cream of vegetable soups, sauces, and homemade milk alternatives. It even has Smart one-touch programs for rice, soy, nut, and oat milks! They have three tiers and price levels available, but the newest Plus model is on so many lists this year.
Felt Foodie Ornament
If you like to give ornaments as gifts, these super cute plushies are right on trend. They’re artisan handcrafted with natural, eco-friendly fibers, and come in ramen, sushi, pickle, street corn, avocado toast, and our favorite, oat milk!
Meal Prep Containers and
Making every, single, meal at home can get tiring and uninspiring. Help them out with this collection of meal prep helpers. Which is why meal planning and food prep are enjoying a huge resurgences I recommend teal containers (the food allergy color) to help dairy-free foods stand out in shared refrigerators and freezers. And because they’re glass, they can go from the deep freeze to the oven. To up the collection, you can add Silvana Nardone’s
State Seasonal Food Guide
We can all use a little food inspiration these days, and even more so with dietary restrictions. These lovely prints are perfect for the kitchen, and showcase seasonal foods in the recipient’s region. I’m a little sad there isn’t one for my home state, but if they live in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin, then snatch this one up! It’s available framed and unframed.
The Good Hippie At-Home Facial Starter Kit
Skincare products sometimes contain milk, particularly many of the natural options. But this vegan kit is free of all animal products, and is a nice gift for someone to pamper herself. Such as the mom managing remote learning along with everything else.
Holiday Tea & Nog Creamer
NutPods dairy-free creamers are my favorite, and their winter flavors are always so good. This year, Holiday Nog is a new addition, and it is amazing in tea. Couple it with Harney and Sons Holiday Spiced Tea for a dairy-free gift that no tea love could resist!
AeroGarden Bounty Basic
These indoor herb growers aren’t new, but they’re gaining in popularity for a few reasons. Growing at least some food indoors means not having to deal with a last minute trip to the store, it’s another good hobby to try with all that distancing time, and it has an off-label use – fighting S.A.D. The grow lights mimic sunlight, providing an extra dose of vitamin D happy.
Carr’s Ciderhouse Syrup of Pantry Pack
This syrup made from boiled cider is on my wish list. It has so many fun cooking possibilities! If you’re gifting a true cider fan, they have a Pantry pack available, which includes their cider syrup, switchel syrup, and cider vinegar.
King Arthur Sourdough Starter and Crock Set
I’ve shared this starter and crock set with kosher pareve starter in a prior gift guide, but it seems even more fitting this year. Sourdough is a fabulous option for sensitive tummies, is naturally dairy free, and is so easy to make. This crock gets a lot of use in our home. You can buy it separately if someone you know needs a home for their new starter.
Rancho Gordo Vegetarian Gift Box
This box is also on my wish list! I hear great things about Rancho Gordo beans, and they make a great pantry stocking item. This plant-based box comes with their bean-heavy cookbook, which is vegan-friendly and filled with a range of ideas.
Nitro Cold Brew Coffee Maker
The coffee drinkers in my house are currently into cold brew. It’s naturally full-bodied and a little creamy, even without a drop of dairy. This is an initial investment, but over time it saves both money and sanity as visits to the coffee shop dwindle. It’s pretty, too.
Eat Dairy Free and Go Dairy Free
We’re a little biased, but Alisa’s books make fantastic gifts for anyone who is dairy-free. Eat Dairy Free is full color, and has everyday recipes with a healthy spin. Go Dairy Free is a giant tomb of information and staple recipes. Buy the pair to share over 350 dairy-free recipes and oodles of tips.
Dairy-Free Gift Ideas for Kids
This year, it’s all about keeping them entertained, and this list is filled with fun ideas.
Throw Throw Burrito Game and Tortilla Blanket
Our neighbors have this silly game, and it is so much fun. It’s a dodgeball card game with a foam burrito. Yes, it’s ridiculous. But it’s serious food-free fun. And for the true Mexican food lover, pair it with a snuggly tortilla throw. They can wrap themselves up like a burrito in this warm, soft, and amusing blanket.
Nailmatic Kids Surprise Bath Party Set
This is a fun way for mom and daughter or two siblings to pamper themselves when stuck inside. The entire set is also vegan, so you don’t need to worry about milk lurking in any of the products.
Milk Magic Straws
These dairy-free straws flavor whatever milk beverage you drink with them and are so colorful and appealing. I’ve bought them as stocking stuffers, and my kids love them! This pack comes with classic Strawberry and Chocolate, but also includes Cotton Candy and Cookies & Cream flavors.
Tiny Baking Kit, Tiny Science Kit, and Tiny Robots Kit
My mom gave these tiny kits to my children last Christmas. They are still using them a year later. Something about tiny toys is so appealing! We also get inspiration from watching Tiny Kitchen.
Sushi Go, Slamwich, Go Nuts for Donuts Game Night Combo
Can we really have enough games right now? Three of my family’s favorites are food themed, but of course, naturally food-free. Give them as a gift set for a three-course game night.
How to Be a Person
At first glance this basic life skills book seems like a ‘sensible’ gift. But my kids were thoroughly taken with the silly illustrations and humorous text. They also learned a lot! One of the chapters teaches cooking basics. Every recipe but one (quesadillas – but they can use dairy-free cheese) features dairy-free options.
Modernist Pantry Basic Molecular Gastronomy Made Easy Starter Kit
This is a fun way to get tweens and teens into the kitchen. Molecular gastronomy! We’re trying the Spherification Kit, but you do need to buy the Spherification Spoons separately with that kit. The Basic Starter Kit includes the spoons, and offers a few more fun cooking lessons. They will still need a digital scale, so you might want to bundle one with this gift if there isn’t one in your kitchen.
Play Your Way Ice Cream Maker with Incredible Vegan Ice Cream
They can make dairy-free ice cream while playing ball! This old-school maker uses the salt and ice method to make ice cream while the kids and the dog toss it around. But of course, they’ll need a new collection of vegan ice cream recipes to go with it.
