As the leaves begin to change, cravings turn toward comfort foods and warm autumn flavors. And Trader Joe’s is ready! Their shelves are filling up with pumpkin, apple, sweet potato, and maple goodies and a surprising number of them are made without dairy. To make your fall shopping a little easier, we’ve gathered the seasonal dairy-free items together below. Some are repeats from last year, but some are brand new.
Trader Joe’s Dairy-Free Shopping List for Seasonal Fall Items
The following Trader Joe’s fall items are primarily seasonal or in limited supply. They begin arriving in early September, and rotate out with the holiday season. So be sure to get them while you can!
Please note that the following items were dairy-free by ingredients at the time of our review. Ingredients and products are subject to change at any time, so always read the packaging. We have noted other top allergens in each product, but it is up to you to confirm any allergens listed on the package before purchase. Pumpkin Rolls with Pumpkin Spice Icing (contains wheat)
The true icing on these seasonal pop-and-bake cinnamon rolls? They’re dairy-free and egg-free!
Pumpkin Gnocchi (contains wheat)
These vegan potato pillows are made with pumpkin puree and just a touch of sugar to balance the flavor. Photo from bigboxvegan.
Sweet Cinnamon Filled Korean Pancakes (contains soy, wheat)
Get a sense for the Seoul street scene with these sweet, flaky, cinnamon pancakes.
Pumpkin Chipotle Roasting Sauce
The creamy, savory pumpkin base is accented with warm spices, tangy apple cider vinegar, sweet molasses, and smoky chipotle peppers in adobo sauce.
Maple & Sea Salt Kettle Corn (contains coconut)
This fall snack is popped in coconut and sunflower oils, seasoned with sea salt, and sweetened with a maple-sugar glaze.
Pumpkin Empanadas (contains egg, wheat, coconut)
The flaky pastry contains a sweet, creamy pumpkin filling that’s just gently spiced.
Roasted Turkey & Sweet Potato Burrito (contains wheat)
This single-serve meal is stuffed with sweet potatoes, cranberry salsa, seasoned white turkey meat, rice, black beans, and chile pepper seasonings.
Pumpkin Spice Hummus
Serve this sweet hummus with crackers or cookies. It’s perfect for a snack or dessert!
Organic Maple Vinaigrette Dressing
Despite it’s creamy appearance, this sweet, savory, and tangy vinaigrette is dairy-free and vegan-friendly.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal Cookie Mix (contains wheat, soy)
The preparation calls for butter and eggs, but you can use your favorite dairy-free baking butter alternative or shortening to make them dairy-free.
Dry Roasted Maple Almonds (contains almond)
They use maple sugar and maple seasoning to double down on the warm and nutty flavor of this fall favorite.
Pumpkin Bagels (contains wheat)
These are more special than they look. The bagels are infused with pumpkin flour, and those raisin-sized add-ins are pumpkin spice bits!
Gluten Free Pumpkin Bagels (contains egg)
Pumpkin spice and everything nice can be found in these fluffy gluten-free, dairy-free bagels.
Gluten-Free Pumpkin Bread (contains egg)
Sure, fresh baked is best. But we think having some dairy-free, gluten-free back up options like this one is a very good idea during the busy fall season.
Pumpkin Bread & Muffin Mix (contains wheat, soy)
Even the instructions for this classic autumn bread are dairy-free – it calls for oil, water, and eggs!
Gluten Free Pumpkin Bread & Muffin Baking Mix
Like their classic pumpkin bread mix, this one is dairy-free, and calls for just oil, water, and eggs to prepare. But this box is also free of gluten and made with a wholesome blend of sorghum, millet, and rice flours.
Cinnamon Roll Blondie Bar Baking Mix (contains wheat)
This chewy dessert goes above and beyond with sweet, gooey cinnamon filling and powdered sugar icing. The recipe does call for eggs and butter, but you can use your favorite dairy-free butter alternative for baking. I wouldn’t recommend this mix for vegan, as eggs don’t substitute very well in blondies.
Non-Dairy Maple Flavor Oat Beverage
Double down on the maple flavor – pour this oat milk over TJ’s Just the Clusters Maple Pecan Granola Cereal. It’s dairy-free too!
Non-Dairy Pumpkin Oat Beverage
We haven’t seen their pumpkin nog in quite some time, but this creamy pumpkin-y oat milk might fill the void.
Organic Pumpkin Spice Creamy Cashew Yogurt Alternative (contains cashew, coconut)
Organic cashews, cane sugar, and pumpkin puree are the first ingredients in this dairy alternative. But it also contains a touch of coconut cream and a dash of pumpkin spice.
Fruit Harvest Salsa
Only TJ’s would think to combine spike this everyday Mexican condiment with pumpkin, butternut squash, and apples.
Pumpkin Tortilla Chips
Each corn chip is baked with pumpkin puree, spices, and pumpkin seeds.
Fall Leaf Tortilla Chips
Taking a queue from nature, Trader Joe’s colors their corn chips leaves with pumpkin, beet, and carrot powder instead of artificial dyes.
Pumpkin Flavored Joe Joe’s (contains wheat, soy)
Joe Joe’s are arguably TJ’s biggest gift to dairy-free and vegan customers. Every season they come out with different flavors, and to date, all of the un-dipped ones are dairy-free – including these!
Halloween Joe-Joe’s Cookies (contains wheat, soy)
These are described as regular Trader Joe’s Joe Joe’s wearing a Halloween costume. We think that fits!
Pecan Pumpkin Instant Oatmeal (contains pecan, soy)
There’s no need to open a whole can of pumpkin puree. This quick breakfast is made with pumpkin powder that livens up when doused with hot water.
Apple Cider Fruit Spread
Rumor has it, this chunky spread is back, complete with a medley of cinnamon, clove, ginger, and cardamom
Unlike their pumpkin butter, this is a sweet and savory spread that’s made in small batches in Portugal.
This classic creamy spread doesn’t contain any actual butter. It’s a sweet pumpkin whip that works on toast or in recipes.
Organic Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark (contains almond, coconut)
Back by popular demand, this dairy-free, gluten-free, chocolate-covered granola bark is a snack-worthy treat.
Pumpkin Overnight Oats (contains almond)
Brekki fans will love this seasonal breakfast. It’s made with simple, whole food ingredients, and even sweetened with date paste instead of sugar.
Spooky Bats & Cats Sour Gummy Candies
These naturally colored candies are even made without gelatin, making them suitable for vegan ghosts and goblins, too.
