In honor of the 50th anniversary of Disney World, we’ve created this detailed dairy-free guide to the Magic Kingdom! It’s broken into two parts: Magic Kingdom Park and Magic Kingdom Disney Resorts. We’re currently working on guides to Disney World’s additional parks, but wanted to make sure we had the big one covered first!

This year, some eateries at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom have temporarily closed, and some have downsized their menus. This has affected the amount of dairy-free and allergy-friendly options available, but not too much! The guide below covers the food options available as of the summer of 2021. We will update as we learn about more openings and menu expansions.

Disney World: Your Dairy-Free Guide to the Magic Kingdom

Using the map of the parks, we’ve listed the Magic Kingdom sections clockwise from the entrance – or heading left when you enter the park. The Disney hotels and resorts near the Magic Kingdom are also listed clockwise, starting on the east side of the park, and ending on the west side. If you discover any changes, or find some additional dairy-free options, kindly leave a comment!

Please Note: In many cases, the dairy-free or food allergy-friendly options at Disney World require special ordering. So always let the staff know what your dietary needs are and if you have a food allergy. Disney World restaurants have protocols in place for handling allergy orders. Menu items and ingredients are subject to change at any time, and potential cross-contamination with allergens should always be considered a risk in commercial kitchens. The following is a guide for informational purposes. It is intended to help with your planning, but should not replace your own due diligence. Only you can decide what is “safe” for your needs.

Magic Kingdom Park: MAIN STREET

  • Casey’s Corner – This hot dog spot serves two different plant-based, dairy-free sausage dogs, plain and one with a pickled slaw and vegan aioli. Both are served with fries (made in shared fryers) or apple slices. We’ve heard their all-beef hot dog can also be ordered dairy-free (check on the footlong – it’s reported as milk-free at other Disney World restaurants). Some people have reported gluten-free, dairy-free buns at this establishment (that contain egg), but we aren’t sure on their current availability.
  • Main Street Bakery – This is a Starbucks. See our Starbucks Dairy-Free Menu Guide for full details.
  • Plaza Ice Cream Parlor – They scoop dairy-free raspberry sorbet at this Disney World ice cream shop, but also offer creamy vegan flavors, which you can enjoy in a cup or cone. They also have some dairy-free toppings, including peanut butter sauce. Also, make sure you request allergy-friendly cookie “ears” or no cookies. Two standard cookie “ears” automatically come with ice cream cone orders, unless requested without.
  • The Crystal Palace – On the main menu, vegan seasonal salad, gluten-free dinner rolls with buttery spread, brown sugar-glazed bone-in pork chop, fire-roasted prime rib of beef, and southern-fried cauliflower are listed as milk allergy-friendly. On the kids’ menu, the options include roasted chicken leg, seared catfish, and fire-roasted prime rib of beef, with roasted potatoes, green beans, steamed carrots, and seasonal fruit as side options. For dessert, they offer vegan strawberry shortcake.
  • The Plaza Restaurant – This is a great spot for handhelds. Their milk allergy menu includes a fried chicken sandwich, turkey club, vegan chili Impossible burger with fries, kids’ turkey sandwich, kids’ grilled chicken strips, kids’ PB&J, seasonal vegetables, and fresh fruit. You can also order a stripped down hamburger, and they have a vegan dark chocolate banana bread pudding with dairy-free ice cream (soy-based) for dessert.
  • Tony’s Town Square Restaurant – This Italian eatery offers a couple adult-sized dairy-free meals, Roman-style steak with vegetables and roasted potatoes, and pasta (wheat or gluten-free) with your choice of turkey meatballs, sausage, or Impossible meatballs (vegan).  The kids’ menu adds grilled chicken with roasted potatoes, green beans and carrots, and fruit to the options. Their garden salad and Italian strawberry shortcake are also reportedly vegan.

Magic Kingdom Park: ADVENTURELAND

  • Aloha Isle – They serve dairy-free pineapple and raspberry Dole Whip flavors in a cup, swirled together, or in a pineapple float. Skip the coconut and vanilla “Dole Whips” – those do contain dairy.
  • Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen – Their plant-based menu includes a vegan falafel appetizer, curried vegetable crew stew, Thai noodles, and lime “panna cotta” with sorbet and fruit. Additional milk allergy-friendly entrees include char siu-marinated pork served with seasonal vegetables and jasmine rice, crispy-fried sweet chili glazed chicken with stir-fried vegetables and seasoned rice, and sustainable fish served on a cassava fritter with wilted greens and a guava-habanero sauce. And the kids’ menu adds grilled steak, coconut curry, crispy chicken, steamed broccoli, seasonal vegetables, fingerling potatoes, jade rice blend, and seasonal fruit to the dairy-free options.
  • Sunshine Tree Terrace – They have dairy-free orange and strawberry Dole Whip soft serve flavors, which can be ordered in a cup or a float. They also have potstickers as a snack, but we haven’t confirmed if those are dairy free. Please let us know if you find out!

Magic Kingdom Park: FRONTIERLAND

  • Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe – This is a top allergy-friendly spot. Meals that can be milk allergy-friendly include the vegan/plant-based veggie rice bowl, chicken rice bowl, pork carnitas rice bowl, angus bacon burger, fajita platter, and taco trio. Many of these items can be made gluten-free and top allergen-free, and most have kids’ menu versions. Plus, they have PB&J Uncrustables and allergy-friendly cookies.
  • Westward Ho – If you need a snack, stop here for a Mickey Bavarian-style pretzel (hold the cheese dip) and a slushy. Unfortunately, the churros do contain both milk and egg.

Magic Kingdom Park: LIBERTY SQUARE

  • Liberty Market Square – This is a snack spot with turkey legs, Mickey Bavarian-style pretzels (hold the cheese dip), fruit, pickles, and some other grab-and-go munchies.
  • Liberty Tree Tavern – This is an all-you-can eat restaurant with a fixed price for kids ($21) and adults ($39) for lunch and dinner. They have milk allergy friendly options for salad, mashed potatoes, herb rice bread stuffing, seasonal vegetables, the patriot’s platter (roasted turkey, pot roast, and pork), and vegan Impossible meatloaf.
  • Sleepy Hollow – At last check, they did not offer a vegan, gluten-free, or allergy-friendly waffle option at this restaurant. They do offer turkey legs for snacks, and their house-made chips might be dairy-free – please report back if you find out!

Magic Kingdom Park: FANTASYLAND

  • Be Our Guest Restaurant – On their main milk allergy menu, they have gluten-free dinner rolls with buttery spread, a mixed greens salad, and a vadouvan spiced vegetables entrée (this might not be vegan, as it doesn’t state safety for egg allergies). On the sweet side, they serve almond macarons and house-made peach applesauce. On the kids menu, they have allergy-friendly pan-seared chicken, grilled beef tenderloin, sauteed zucchini, steamed green beans, sweet potato wedges, and wild rice (contains gluten). Adults can use these options to custom order, too.
  • Cinderella’s Royal Table – Their vegan options include a castle salad, chickpea panisse entrée, and coffee pots de creme. But they also offer a dairy-free charcuterie board, and several kids menu options: beef tenderloin, seared fish of the day, seasonal vegetables, rice pilaf, apple slices, and seasonal sorbet. Adults can also custom order the beef tenderloin without sauce and with dairy-free sides.
  • Gaston’s Tavern – If you need to cool off, LeFou’s Brew is reportedly dairy-free and vegan. It’s a no sugar added, frozen apple slush with a light toasted marshmallow flavor and passion fruit-mango foam.
  • Pinocchio Village Haus – It’s pizza for everyone at this casual spot! Their milk allergy menu includes “cheese” and meat pizzas with vegan cheese alternatve, chicken breast nuggets, french fries, Uncrustables, and allergy-friendly cookies. Most of these items can be ordered gluten-free and top allergen-free.
  • Storybook Treats – They have lime dairy-free Dole Whip soft serve and offer Peter Pan floats with sprite (hold the chocolate feather).
  • The Friar’s Nook – Their breakfast items are minimal for dairy-free guests. But for midday, they have plant-based brats with tater tots (might be cooked in a shared fryer with cross contamination risk), and you can reportedly order a dairy-free all-beef hot dog. They also have PB&J Uncrustables for kids.

Magic Kingdom Park: TOMORROWLAND

  • Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies – You can get a plant-based, dairy-free strawberry smoothie at this shop.
  • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café – Their prolific milk allergy menu includes chicken strips, angus burgers on a brioche bun, all-beef foot-long hot dogs, vegan Impossible burgers, french fries, kids’ salads with turkey, kids’ PB&J uncrustables, and mandarin oranges, gogo squeez applesauce, and allergy-friendly cookies. Please note that the kids’ salad is on their allergy menu, but not on their main menu, but you can also custom order their salad with chicken strips without the cheese and dressing.
  • Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant – Their savory, milk allergy-friendly options include the vegan harbour salad, chicken nuggets, fried shrimp, french fries, and PB&J Uncrustables. For dessert, they have allergy-friendly chocolate chip cookies and scoops of vanilla and chocolate dairy-free ice cream (soy-based).

Hotel: DISNEY’S CONTEMPORARY RESORT

  • California Grill – They’re open for dinner, and primarily offer seafood and plant-based dishes on their milk allergy-friendly menu. The options include roasted miso chicken soup, a collection of sushi rolls (including real lump crab California rolls), vegan vegetable pasta, seared wild salmon, simple vegetable and rice sides, and some fancy blueberry vegan donuts for dessert.
  • Chef Mickey’s – They have fixed menu pricing for breakfast and dinner. As expected, the breakfast includes Mickey waffles. But additional dairy-free items include vegan tofu scramble, seasonal fruit, chicken sausage, pork sausage, smoked bacon, and beef brisket. Dinner includes vegan seasonal salad, vegan wheat farro fried rice, prime rib, roasted salmon, tofu bowls, and vegan chocolate-raspberry tarts for dessert.
  • Contempo Cafe – This quick-serve spot has mini plant-based menus, with tofu bowls, steel-cut oatmeal, and potatoes for breakfast, and different tofu bowls and a power greens salad for lunch and dinner. They also make Mickey waffles, and have Simply Smoothies, soy milks, and various dairy-free packaged snacks and treats.
  • The Sand Bar – They have vegan French fries and Mickey pretzels by the pool. Sandwiches, burgers, and all-beef hot dogs might also be dairy-free options, as they are at other park locations, but verify before ordering.
  • The Wave – This is breakfast served at the California Grill. Their dairy-free options include fruit plates, oatmeal, allergy-friendly muffins, American style egg breakfasts (with eggs, potatoes, and breakfast meats), allergy-friendly Belgian waffles, and avocado toast.

Hotel: DISNEY’S WILDERNESS LODGE

  • Geyser Point Bar & Grill – This poolside eatery offers dairy-free and gluten-free smoked turkey sandwiches, hamburgers, and grilled chicken. They also serve dairy-free hand-crafted crab cakes, edamame, a vegan multigrain portabello salad, and apple cider sorbet for dessert.
  • Roaring Fork – For breakfast, you can order dairy-free chicken and waffles, Mickey-shaped waffles, breakfast platters (with eggs, meats, potatoes, and allergy-friendly toast), bagel sandwiches, and steel-cut oatmeal. The lunch and dinner menu includes those chicken and waffles, but also includes dairy-free burgers, vegan burgers, sandwiches, salads, chicken strips, fries, fruit, and crunchy allergy-friendly cookies.
  • Territory Lounge – You can enjoy their house-made chips with your drink at this bar, they offer a plant-based dip option.
  • Whispering Canyon Cafe – Breakfast at this family-style restaurant includes the usual Mickey waffles, but they also have a vegan “cheese” frittata, steel-cut oatmeal, and dairy-free, gluten-free toast, blueberry muffins, eggs, and breakfast meats on the side. Lunch brings the vegan Impossible burger and dairy-free, gluten-free turkey sandwiches. Dinner gets more interesting, with a vegan cheesy barbecue-braised jackfruit dip and pan-fired quinoa cakes. For dessert, they have gluten-free, dairy-free chocolate cake and vegan rice milk panna cotta with berries.

Hotel: POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT

  • Capt. Cook’s – For breakfast, they have a plant-based breakfast bowl with “sausage” and scramble and steel-cut oatmeal. Additional dairy-free items include allergy-friendly waffles, egg scrambles, and breakfast platters. For lunch and dinner, they have burgers with fries (vegan and non-vegan varieties), turkey sandwiches, chicken strips, chicken wings, chicken skewers, Asian noodles, salads, fruit, and allergy-friendly cookies.
  • Kona Café – This Hawaiian style cafe has vegan loco moco, steel-cut oatmeal, allergy-friendly waffles, Mickey pancakes, potatoes, and other sides on their dairy-free breakfast menu. For lunch, they have sushi rolls, poke bowls, glazed chicken wings, seafood coconut curry soup, chicken stir fry, steak salad, pork and vegan noodle bowls, kids’ hamburgers, and vegan coconut tapioca for dessert. Dinner is similar, but we spotted an additional chicken entree.
  • ‘Ohana – This is an all-you-can-eat restaurant with fixed prices for kids and adults, at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast includes dairy-free skillets with vegan “sausage,” pork sausage, Hawaiian-style ham, vegan “eggs,” Mickey waffles, and Island-style potatoes, plus fruit and gluten-free, vegan cinnamon sugar doughnuts. Dinner is allergy-friendly rolls, vegan hummus and won tons, salad, chicken wings, pork dumplings, and dinner skillets with your dairy-free choice of chimichurri chicken (with vegan option), teriyaki steak, oven-roasted chicken, shrimp, or steak, vegan ‘ohana noodles, roasted broccolini, vegan pineapple-barbecued jack fruit, vegan sausage, and rice. For dessert, they have vegan doughnuts with coconut milk ice cream.
  • Pineapple Lanai – No tropical Disney resort would be complete without Dole Whip. They have dairy-free pineapple Dole Whip, which you can enjoy in a cup, float, or with a float of rum (adults only!). Just be sure to skip the vanilla soft serve, which does contain dairy.

Hotel: DISNEY’S GRAND FLORIDIAN

  • Beaches Pool Bar & Grill – You can munch on potato barrels, cucumber salad, house-made chips, and kids’ PB&J Uncrustables. We haven’t been able to confirm any entree options.
  • Citricos – Their dairy-free dinner options include wild mushrooms arancini and citrus-cured hamachi for the first course, two fish dishes with sides and house-made rigatoni for entrees, and a smoked cauliflower “enhancement.” The kids menu adds chicken noodle soup, shrimp, sirloin steak, grilled chicken breast, broccolini, roasted carrots, Carolina gold rice, and fresh fruit.
  • Courtyard Pool Bar – Like their other pool area, they have some vegan snacks: pretzels and hummus, house-made chips, and fresh fruit cups. But you will need to confirm if any entrees can be made dairy free.
  • Gasparilla Island Grill – This is a great spot for all-day, casual, allergy-friendly options. At breakfast, they have dairy-free breakfast platters, egg sandwiches, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, and of course, Mickey waffles. Lunch and dinner options include burgers, Impossible burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, chicken strips, PB&J Uncrustables, fries, house-made chips, and fruit. Cheese-free pizza is also available. Their grab-and-go drinks include Simply smoothies and flavored soy milks. And they sell various packaged snacks, like allergy-friendly snack bars, chocolate bars, brownies, and more.
  • Grand Floridian Cafe – Their menu includes a good smattering of dairy-free options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can start your day with wholesome vegan avocado toast, steel-cut oatmeal, or turkey sausage with potatoes. Or you can indulge in steak and eggs, “the grand breakfast,” pancakes, or Mickey waffles.  Midday, vegan Impossible burgers and beef burgers with fries, miso-glazed salmon with sides, chilled jumbo shrimp cocktail, and kids’ grilled chicken breast appear on the menu. For dessert, they have allergy-friendly apple crisp with coconut milk ice cream.
  • Narcoossee’s – Their plant-based menu includes warm sourdough bread, barbecued crispy eggplant, sweet potato gnocchi, haricot verts, carrots, brown basmati rice, seasonal fruit, mango sorbet, and carrot cake with candied pecan coconut milk ice cream. The only additional dairy-free option is the kids’ oven-roasted wild shrimp, but you might be able to custom order fish or steak.

Disney World Food Allergy & Special Diet Information

Guests with food allergies or intolerances are allowed to bring food into Disney World parks and into the restaurants. When you enter the park, let the Security Cast Member at bag check know that someone in your party has a food allergy or intolerance. They can’t store any food for you, and there are no preparation facilities on site, but you can carry around ready-to-eat food yourself.

According to Disney World, food allergic guests who are dealing with top allergens do not need to contact  restaurants in advance of arrival. Simply discuss any dietary requirements with a Cast Member upon arrival at the restaurant. You can also request to consult with a chef or special diets-trained Cast Member.

Disney World dining staff is also well trained with common special diets like plant-based/vegan, low sugar, and low carb. So no advanced notice is needed. That said, if you have any special diet needs, it is helpful to note them if making an online reservation.

Kosher requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance. And if you have less common food allergies or special diet needs, Disney World recommends contacting their team at least 14 days in advance of your visit. They can be reached at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.
